Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie | Youth, Employment and Entrepreneurship study
Wishing to develop a “Youth-Employment-Entrepreneurship” program in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) commissioned Red Mangrove to conduct a prospective study to determine the contours of its intervention.
The mission included the identification of the main causes of underemployment and youth unemployment, current or planned initiatives, the most appropriate options in terms of business creation and access to employment, as well as a classification of French-speaking African countries according to the causes and the degree of effectiveness of the responses provided. We also developed quantified intervention scenarios and an operational strategy that integrates synergy with local technical partners, partnerships and collaboration agreements to be considered, and other strategic programs of the OIF (digital, promotion of the French language, economy, youth).
