Kosovo | New Industrial Policy

UNDP Kosovo’s Aid for Trade project supported the Ministry of Industry and Trade in promoting an effective export-based private sector. The focus was on capacity building, through support to the formulation and monitoring of public policies.

Red Mangrove intervened in the elaboration of an industrial policy document in order to create a strategic guide for the sector’s stakeholders (companies, government agencies, donors, support institutions…), and to support the Ministry in the coordination and prioritization of its mandate actions. The firm carried out an assessment of the business environment, a diagnosis of the strengths and weaknesses of certain value chains (textile, tourism, ICT, agribusiness, etc.), and an international comparative analysis targeting opportunities, threats and success factors.  We have also developed a cross-cutting and sectoral strategies with an action plan, as well as the mapping of interest holders.
